Tree View
The Tree View in Ucode is an excellent feature for organizing and visualizing hierarchical data. Whether you’re working with organizational structures, nested categories, or any parent-child relationship data, the Tree View provides a clear and structured way to manage and navigate complex relationships.
Setting Up the Tree View
1. Prepare the Table: • Ensure you have a table with at least two fields: one for the Name and another for the Parent field to establish hierarchical connections. For example, a table representing an organizational structure.
2. Create the Tree View:
• Navigate to the header of your table and click the + Add button.
• From the dropdown list of available views, select Tree View.
• Click Create View Tree to finalize the creation.
3. Enable the Relevant Columns:
• Once the Tree View is created, click on the newly added view tab to switch to the Tree View layout.
• To display the hierarchical data, go to the Columns section and toggle on the Name field to ensure the data is visible.
Visualizing Hierarchical Data
The Tree View provides an intuitive way to represent parent-child relationships. For example, consider an organizational structure:
• CEO (Chief Executive Officer) at the top.
• Reporting to the CEO:
• CTO (Chief Technology Officer):
• Engineering Team Lead
• Software Engineer
• QA Engineer
• CFO (Chief Financial Officer):
• Financial Manager
• Accountant
With the Tree View, each level of the hierarchy is clearly delineated, making it easy to understand reporting lines, relationships, and responsibilities.
Benefits of Using the Tree View
• Clear Representation: Displays data in a structured, easy-to-read hierarchical format.
• Efficient Navigation: Navigate between levels of hierarchy effortlessly.
• Customizable: Choose which columns to display and adjust the structure to suit your needs.
