The Excel Import and Export features in Ucode simplify the process of managing large datasets by enabling seamless integration between Excel files and Ucode tables. Whether you need to upload a pre-existing dataset or export table data for reporting and analysis, these tools ensure a smooth workflow.
Before importing data from Excel into Ucode, ensure that your table contains fields corresponding to the columns in your Excel file. For instance, if your dataset includes columns like Athlete, Age, Country, Year, Sport Type, and Medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Total), you must create fields in the Ucode table matching these data types (e.g., Text Field, Number Field).
To import data from Excel:
1. Navigate to the three-dots menu in the table header and select Excel Import.
2. Upload your Excel file by selecting the appropriate file (e.g., Olympic Results).
3. Map the Excel columns to the respective Ucode table fields (e.g., Athlete to Athlete Field).
4. Click Upload to complete the import process.
After the import, your table will display all the rows and columns from the Excel file, ensuring accurate and efficient data population.
Exporting data is just as simple:
1. Go to the three-dots menu in the table header and select Excel Download.
2. Ucode will generate an XLSX file containing all the table data.
3. Open the downloaded file in Google Sheets or Excel to verify the data.
The exported file maintains the formatting and structure of the table, ensuring seamless integration for further analysis or reporting.
Why Use Excel Import/Export in Ucode?
1. Ease of Use: Quickly populate Ucode tables with data from pre-existing Excel files.
2. Time-Saving: Export table data in seconds for offline use or sharing.
3. Error-Free Data Mapping: Simple field-to-column mapping ensures accuracy.
