Permission Options Overview

The Permission Options section of the admin panel enables users to manage and customize access rights for various data tables, menus, and global features. This functionality is essential for maintaining security and control over data sharing within an organization. The permissions are categorized into three main tabs: Table, Menu, and Global permission.

1. Table Tab

In the Table Tab, users can manage permissions for specific data in tables. The following permissions can be assigned:

  • Record Permissions: Control access to individual records with the following options:

    Read: Allow users to see the table data.

    Write: Enable users to create new records.

    Update: Permit users to modify existing records.

    Delete: Authorize users to remove records.

    Public: Set records to be accessible by anyone, regardless of specific permissions.

  • Field Permissions: Manage access to individual fields within a record.

  • Action Permissions: Control access to function actions(HTTP, after and before) that can be performed.

  • Relation Permissions: Manage permissions relations.

  • View Permissions: Specify which users can view certain elements or data.

  • Custom Permissions: Create tailored permission settings based on specific organizational needs.

2. Menu Tab

The Menu Tab allows users to manage permissions related to the menu bar. Users can control access with the following options:

  • Read: Allow users to see the menu items.

  • Write: Enable users to create new menu items.

  • Update: Permit users to modify existing menu items.

  • Delete: Authorize users to remove menu items.

  • Settings: Control access to settings related to the menu bar.

3. Global Permissions

The Global Permissions section provides control over various global features within the admin panel. Users can assign permissions for the following components:

  • ChatAI: Manage access to chat functionality.

  • ChatWoot: Allows users to chat directly with a Ucode support representative.

  • Documentation: Provides access to a detailed guide on how to use the Ucode Admin Panel.

  • Menu Button: Control the visibility and usage of the menu button.

  • Settings Button: Authorize access to the settings feature.
